Air Quality

We would like to provide the following information to all members of our community, taking into consideration air quality, reports, suggestions and measures from the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Education, the school has decided the following: * At present the Ministry of the Environment issues daily reports about air quality in the various stations located in the Metropolitan Region. * The Las Condes station usually registers low levels of pollution, while in the western sectors of the capital levels are very high. This leads to the declaration of state of pre-emergency, alert or emergency.

Given the altitude of the area where the school is located, where pollution levels are frequently low, so it has been decided that physical and sports activities in the school will be carried out as long as the Las Condes station registers levels under 100, which is considered good air quality by the Ministry of Health.

These are the procedures that the school will follow in the different environmental situations reported for the Metropolitan Region:

Alert – Alerta ambiental

All activities will be carried out normally.

Pre-emergency– Preemergencia ambiental

Physical and sports activities will be carried out normally, both on weekdays and at weekends, as long as the Las Condes station registers pollution levels of 100 or less, which is considered by SINCA (National System of Information of air quality) as good air quality.

Emergency– Emergencia ambiental

All sports activities in the school will be suspended, regardless of the levels registered in the Las Condes station, either on weekdays or at weekends.
