These workshops help pupils with learning difficulties or academic performance problems. They aim at Years 2 to 4. Prior to their incorporation, each child is assessed and their Form Teacher may suggest the need for a special workshop. A maximum of 10 children take part in each workshop, in differentiated levels.
These workshops have been carried out in different ways throughout the years. They are currently offered after school hours, and their objective is to develop reading comprehension, oral reading skills, psycho-linguistic skills and logical thinking. An additional effect that these workshops have had in the past is an improved self-esteem regarding a child’s learning process.
