Sports

At Craighouse School, sport plays a central role in the development of character. Since the founding of our school, physical activity has been an essential pillar of our educational philosophy, reflecting our founders’ belief that many of life’s most valuable lessons are learned on the playing field.

Sport at Craighouse is about far more than competition. It fosters discipline, teamwork, resilience and leadership, encouraging students to challenge themselves, support one another and develop confidence both on and off the field.

Our 24-hectare campus, surrounded by nature at the foothills of the Andes, offers exceptional sports facilities that are unique in Chile and across the region.

Pupils take part in a wide range of sports including rugby, hockey, football, basketball, volleyball and athletics, supported by a strong tradition of school sport and teamwork.

At the heart of our sports facilities is the Craighouse Sports Hall, a modern two-storey complex of more than 1,800 m², with seating for up to 1,000 spectators. The Sports Hall hosts major school events, competitions and training sessions throughout the year.

The complex includes volleyball and basketball courts, fitness and conditioning facilities, physical education spaces, changing rooms and service areas. At Craighouse, sport is not simply physical activity — it is a powerful educational experience that helps shape confident, resilient and responsible young people.
