1965

Craighouse School already had 500 pupils and the need for a new move became imperative. On October 18th1965 a general parents’ meeting was held and it was unanimously proposed that a building society should be formed (Inmobiliaria Craighouse S.A.), and that every parent would be asked to buy shares in order to finance the purchase of a piece of land where the new school would be built. In 1966 a property came up for sale. It consisted of nearly 30,000 square metres of land on the southwest corner of Avenida Apoquindo and Avenida Manquehue. An agreement was finally reached, and Mr Darling, in representation of the subscribing parents, purchased It for 680,000 escudos. At the end of the year, the Kinder class was opened in the new location.
